The objective of the side quest Track Down Your Gun in Disco Elysium is to find Harry's personal weapon. In our guide, you'll learn how to find out that the weapon got lost, who to ask about the location of it, and how to continue trying to track it down.

Starting the quest

This is a secret quest that you can unlock in several ways:

1. Task Report your badge missing - during a conversation with the police station over the radio, the topic of Harry's personal weapons will be raised. Completing the Drama skill check (you can pass it or fail it) will unlock the quest in question.
2. Meeting with Evrart or the owner of the pawnshop - you can also ask these characters after the start of the quest and we will describe this further on this page.

Sylvie

Talking to Sylvie over the police radio (you need to get to Kim's car) is part of another task Who made the call reporting the crime? - we described it on a separate guide page.

During the conversation, you can ask Sylvie to remind Harry how their previous meeting went.

Pawnshop

The pawnshop is southwest of Kim's car.

The owner will tell you that the weapon has already been sold and will point you to the next lead. However, he doesn't say directly to whom he sold it, but only that it was a young, “terrible” woman.

Evrart

Reaching this character in the port (east end of the city) is described on the page Where is Evrart Claire?

Evrart himself will tell you that the search for weapons has already begun, which Harry doesn't remember at all. At first, he will attempt to persuade you that he is the one who has it, which isn't true. Gathering this information is enough to complete the quest. You will get 15 XP.

The following quests are related to the further search for Harry's weapons:

1. Open apartment door for Evrart - this is the first favor you're going to do for this character;
2. Get two signatures for Evrart - this is another favor for Evrart;
3. Confront the Pigs and get your gun back - this quest is only available after unlocking the western part of the map (day 3 and later). You will reach the person in possession of the character's weapon.
