Few words from Peter (Lead developer of the game)

Comrades,

Today is a great day. After more than 5 years since the Early Access release, we are finally launching the game in its 1.0 version. It has been a long but fascinating journey! This project has taken 7 years of my life, and it has changed my life.

Thank you to all the team members: Martin, Michal, Vlado, Karel, Robs, Krzysztof, and many others who dedicated their souls to this project and helped me finish this monster. Special thanks to Everyone at Hooded Horse for assisting with the release and promotion of the game. And a big thank you to all the players who brought ideas, alerted us to problems, and helped us improve the project. I apologize for any issues you may have encountered.

This is not the end of development. While you play the game, we will continue updating it and even adding new features. We have also started a new project, so please keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly and we can bring it to you soon!

Enjoy the game!

Peter

Greetings, dear comrades of the Soviet Republic and all the fans of our game worldwide. As we edge closer to the summer, the rising temperatures remind us of the seasonal cycles in our game—predictable yet comforting in their consistency. While ordinary days may pass without much fanfare, it's from a broader perspective that we appreciate the steady progress made, both in life and in our work.

This is the fifth summer since the game's early access release—a significant journey filled with milestones. Now, we're approaching a particularly memorable milestone: the final public release of our game, scheduled for June 20th, 2024. It's been a marathon, not a sprint, and we couldn't have reached this point without your support, feedback, and cooperation. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved.

Special gratitude goes to our translators who have made the game accessible in 17 languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Bulgarian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese Brazilian, Ukrainian, Russian), ensuring most people around the globe can enjoy our game in their native language. All translations are complete and will be available for the final release.

Recently, we announced a DLC that will launch alongside version 1.0. This DLC will enhance the game for those who opt in, without detracting from the experience of those who do not. For a closer look at what this entails, we invite you to watch our latest video.

In recent weeks, we've added some features worth mentioning. A new stadium (in the picture above) and an amphitheater have been introduced; the latter functions much like a cinema, offering cultural enjoyment in a compact form.

We've also refined our notifications system. Notifications now feature a color code to signify their urgency: red for critical alerts (like collapsed building or low happiness) , blue for custom notifications you've set (like no goods in shops or stopped production, fire), green for informational messages (like vehicle availability), and yellow for other important notices. Additionally, we've added the notifications list to the left side panel for easier access, replacing the time-lapse menu which has been shifted to the settings menu.

Other minor updates include the ability to filter parked vehicles in depots more efficiently, manually dispatch vehicles from construction offices to sites, and new hints about controls when placing buildings or infrastructure.

However, we're currently addressing a crash issue in versions 0.9.0.15 and 0.9.0.16 related to an auto-cracker (game crashes during loading Tool initialization). A fix is prepared and will be included in the 1.0 release.

Looking ahead, we'll soon introduce achievements, but more details on that will come in a future report. This isn't our last update. After the release the development will continue and we will share information about future projects related to this game or something else when appropriate.

That concludes this report. Remember to enjoy real life as much as you enjoy gaming, and stay tuned for more updates.

Thank you for your unwavering support.

Greetings, dear comrades of the Soviet Republic and all the fans of our game around the globe. It's been some time since our last report, and as we approach the final stages of development, our focus has shifted more towards refinement and preparation for the final release. Consequently, our updates will become less frequent, but rest assured, our commitment to improving the game continues unabated.

In this report, we're excited to share details about an upcoming DLC which will include Realistic Maps. This addition will feature approximately ten new maps, each meticulously scaled down for gameplay while retaining geographic authenticity. Currently, four of these maps are complete, with the remaining ones under active development.

One of the highlight terrains is Eastern Germany, including a decorative element many will recognize: a representation of the Berlin Wall within Berlin, adding a touch of historical context to the map.

Our decision to focus on specific regions is influenced by our player base demographics, with Germany leading in sales. Consequently, we've tailored one of our new terrains to this audience. France is another key area we're focusing on due to its vibrant player community.

The United Kingdom, home to a large contingent of our players, will also see its own dedicated map, ensuring our fans there feel right at home.

However, we're not just focusing on larger countries; our aim is to include terrains from a variety of regions, not limited to post-communist countries. We're exploring diverse landscapes that we believe will intrigue a wide range of players. Our list includes the USA, parts of Russia, potentially Kaliningrad, the Czech Republic, Poland, and others still under discussion.

Our work continues, and while we scale back on the frequency of our reports, we promise to keep you informed with meaningful updates as they arise. We will share news worth discussing, especially those that significantly enhance gameplay.

As we conclude this report, remember to take joy in life and gaming. Stay tuned for our next update, and thank you for your continued support.
