Nine Sols is an indie souls-like platformer created by Red Candle Games. The game was released today, and the title was quite awaited by fans, especially those who supported it during crowdfunding action (8901 people). The title is available on Steam, but what about other platforms? Should we expect versions on Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony devices? Let’s check it out.

If you are a souls-like fan, and prefer to play on your console, we have good news for you. Nine Sols will be released on them in the future. We don’t know the precise date or which consoles, though.
On the official site, we may find information which states that:
Our aim is to release the game on Steam for PC/Mac, as well as both the Nintendo and Sony consoles. But since the porting process won't start until the game is near completion, and due to the fact that Nine Sols's development is in between console generations, it is difficult to provide a definitive list of supported platforms at the moment.
That being said, we do have most things in place to support consoles, having already acquired the Switch and PS devkits, therefore backers should rest assured that we will give our best efforts to support more platforms as the project progresses.
The post seems to be a little bit outdated, as it is from the page on which the crowdfunding action took place. So, it may be from that period, especially talking into consideration that it mentions “between console generations” and PS5 was released in 2020. Yes, the time flies. However, regardless, developers felt confident on PlayStation and Switch subject. So, we may expect these ports in the future. What about Xbox?
In the most recent announcement, from the release, we may read that console ports will be discussed in the future posts. So, creators did not give any definitive answer regarding devices. Users on Red Candle Games Discord comment that Xbox port will appear, however we couldn’t find any official acknowledgement of this. So, for now, we have to wait for developers’ confirmation.
