Fallout: London Mod Creators Have to Downgrade Next-Gen Fallout 4 Because of Update's Instability Issues
In order to check out Fallout: London, you will have to uninstall the next-gen update of Fallout 4. As the mod's creators argue, the update from Bethesda isn't stable enough.
The creators of the Fallout: London mod were compelled to delay the release of their ambitious project due to the next-gen update of Fallout 4 and the necessity to adapt the modification to the changes it introduced. Although Team FOLON has already announced news about the imminent end of work, a new problem has arisen.
Two months ago, the modders started a collaboration with the GOG platform - it's thanks to it that the mod will ultimately be published. For this purpose, the authors of Fallout: London handed over the game files to GOG so that the service's specialists could conduct a quality control.
In the meantime, the creators continued working on the extensive mod, and at some point, they realized that the next-gen update was so unstable that it would have to be removed from Fallout 4 to play in post-apocalyptic London. This is the information that appeared on the official Discord server of Team FOLON.

While Fallout: London will require players to downgrade Fallout 4, they should not feel particularly disappointed about the need to uninstall the next-gen update. This kind of "refresh" of Bethesda's game met with considerable criticism, also causing quite a bit of irritation among fans. Let's note that the next-gen update in May received a patch, but it didn't fix all the errors - the V.A.T.S. system is still broken, as are the settings for ultrawide monitors.
Unfortunately, we still don't know exactly when the long-awaited mod will be released. However, let's hope that this will happen before the end of 2024. The previous updates from Team FOLON were so positive that it seems very likely to happen.
