A new Star Wars strategy game published by Electronic Arts has been in development for some time. Unfortunately, there is really little information about the project - we don't even know the title of this game. The developers in charge of production recently shared some intriguing details about their upcoming project.

Ryan McFall (Technical Director) and Daanish Syed (Art Director) from Bit Reactor studio took part in an interview for PC Gamer. They didn't reveal much about the discussed Star Wars game, as they weren't authorized to do so, but they did discuss modern strategies in a general manner.

Developers have pointed out that there are numerous types of games within this genre, each differing in various ways, much like racing games are categorized into simulators and arcade-style titles.

I think there's definitely a perception there--I think folks have a limited view of what a strategy game could be.That is one of the things we want to try to do: expand people's perception of what the experience actually is of playing a strategy game, said Ryan McFall.

The user interface plays a crucial role in the strategies of Bit Reactor studio. At the very beginning of the adventure with the game, it cannot "scare" with its complexity, introducing new features over time. Developers emphasize that the interface is a "key element in understanding and tracking the course of action."

Referring to the artistic style of the upcoming Star Wars strategy, Daanish Syed said:

That's the language we developed for Jedi: Survivor. Similarly, we're gonna develop our own [artistic] language that fits within Star Wars, but also feels unique to this game.

During the interview, both developers refrained from using the term "RTS" when discussing their game, which is interesting. This could indicate that in the new Star Wars universe strategy, battles won't take place in real time but in a turn-based mode, aligning somewhat with earlier assumptions based on job postings at Bit Reactor studio.
