Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - PC Hardware Requirements

Asobo and Microsoft revealed the hardware requirements of the PC version of Microsoft Flight Simulator, the latest installment of the popular flight simulator series.

Playing at maximum settings will require a very strong PC.

Over the past months, we've seen many breathtaking videos from Microsoft Flight Simulator. Thanks to Asobo revealling the hardware requirements, we finally learned what kind of PC is needed to fully enjoy the game.

Minimum hardware requirements:

  1. CPU: Intel i5-4460 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  2. RAM: 8 GB
  3. GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 / AMD Radeon RX 570 with 2 GB of memory
  4. Disk space: 150 GB
  5. OS: Windows 10

Recommended hardware requirements:

  1. CPU: Intel i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  2. RAM: 16 GB
  3. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 590 with 4GB of memory
  4. Disc space: 150 GB
  5. OS: Windows 10

Optimal hardware requirements:

  1. CPU: Intel i7-9800X / AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X
  2. RAM: 32 GB
  3. GPU: GeForce RTX 2080 / AMD Radeon VII with 8 GB memory
  4. Disk space: 150 GB
  5. OS: Windows 10

As you can see, to squeeze out all that the game offers, we will need a very strong PC. It's also worth noting that it will be necessary to have as much as 150 GB of free space on our hard drive. Even so, it will be a fraction of the data used by the title, because it is supposed to download the bulk of it from the cloud in real time.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to PC and Xbox One. The launch is scheduled for this year. The game will also be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass service.
