Metro 2033 for Free on Steam, Discounts on Rest of the Series

A special weekend deal launched on Steam, enabling us to get the full version of Metro 2033 for free and buy the rest of the games in the series at discounted prices.

From time to time, Steam offers full versions of games for free for a limited time. The latest offer of this type includes Metro 2033, the first installment of the popular FPS series by 4A Games. It should be clarified here that this is the first version of the game, released in 2010, and not the refreshed Redux edition, which was released four years later.

Those interested in the game are advised to hurry up, because the offer will remain valid only until March 15. As with other such deals on Steam, if we add Metro 2033 to our Steam library now, the game will stay there forever, even when the promotion ends.

The game has already been given away for free on several occasions, but even so, there will definitely be people who don't have it yet. It is worth noting that in parallel, discounts of other games from the series were organized on Steam. Metro 2033 Redux can be bought for a few dollars, the same as Metro: Last Light Redux. In turn, the price of Metro Exodus was discounted by 66%, and the Gold edition (including all DLC) by 70%. You can also buy each DLC individually at reduced prices.

If you decide to play Metro 2033 today, it's worth using the fan-made app called Config Editor. It enables you to configure dozens of aspects of the game, including many that can't be modified in the game menu. It allows for changing gameplay elements, manipulating the width of the field of view (FOV) or activating windowed mode.
