Jiyan is a powerful 5-star Aero character in Wuthering Waves that excels at dealing AoE damage and controlling enemies, making him a valuable asset for taking on groups of foes. Finding the right equipment will help him reach his full potential on the battlefield. Check out our guide on which Echoes are the best for Jiyan’s build.

Wuthering Waves – Jiyan Echo Build

Jiyan is incredibly powerful in his Qingloong Mode, triggered by his Resonance Liberation. In this state, Jiyan can unleash swift and brutal Aero attacks with increased resistance to interruption, which means you don't have to parry that much. Qingloong Mode consumes Resolve, the green bar at the bottom of your screen, to further enhance the damage of his Lance of Qingloong attacks.

  1. Jiyan thrives on maximizing his Aero damage to truly shine. The undisputed best Echoes for him is the 5-piece Sierra Gale set. With this kit, his Aero damage gets a whooping 30% boost for 15 seconds after using the Intro Skill. For Jiyan’s main Echo slot, the best choice is definitely Feilian Beringal. This will increase his overall Aero and Heavy Attack damage.

Alternatively, while you’re still early in the game and don’t have a full 5-piece set, you can equip him with:

  1. A 2-piece Sierra Gale plus a 2-piece Lingering Tune for a good balance between Aero output and some attack stat increase.
  2. A 2-piece Sierra Gale plus a 2-piece Moonlit Cloud focuses more on getting Jiyan’s ultimate faster with the energy regeneration boost.
