GTA 6 Received More Specific Release Window. 'We Are Highly Confident That Rockstar Games Will Deliver an Unparalleled Entertainment Experience'

It looks like the launch of GTA 6 in 2025 isn't in danger, but there's no reason to expect the title to be released in the spring. Take-Two Interactive narrowed the „release window,” while expressing confidence that Rockstar's game will provide „unparalleled entertainment” and help the company reach „new levels of success.”.

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games studio, released its financial report today for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2023-2024, covering the period from January 1 to March 31, 2024. We learn from it that the release window for GTA 6 has been narrowed down to autumn 2025.

This is important information because from the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer published by the devs we only knew that the game would be released in 2025. However, there has been a lot of speculation online about the exact release date since then. Some suggested that the game would be released in early 2025, others that it would be released at the end of the year. Furthermore, there were rumors at one point that production was progressing slowly, leading to a potential delay of the title's debut to 2026.

However, it seems that the Rockstar's plans haven't changed. The developers may confirm this soon - fans have recently found clues that provide hope for new information about GTA 6.

It's worth noting that Take-Two Interactive's expectations for the six installment are enormous. The report states that the company's management is "highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience" and their "expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase." "Looking ahead, we believe that our Company is poised to achieve new levels of success, and we expect to deliver sequential growth in Net Bookings for Fiscal 2025, 2026, and 2027" -- we read further.

GTA 6 is expected to help implement this plan, which is quite obvious. As this financial report includes a summary of all four quarters of fiscal year 2023-2024, we know that Take-Two Interactive recorded a loss of $3.74 billion for the entire period (in fiscal year 2022-2023 it was "only" $1.12 billion). The success of Rockstar's game is therefore more than necessary for that corporation.
