10 Years of ETS2 Development in One Refreshed Trailer

Euro Truck Simulator 2 celebrates its 10th birthday this year. The developers have released a new trailer to celebrate the occasion. See how much has changed since 2012.

This will probably be hard for some to believe, but Euro Truck Simulator 2 celebrates its tenth birthday this year. The developers at SCS Software have prepared a new trailer, showing how the current ETS2 looks like. As they themselves recognized, the previous version of the trailer from 2012 completely failed to show how much has changed in the game since then.

New ETS2 trailer

The trailer is not long, so every willing player will certainly find time to watch it, so there is no need to describe it here. However, it is worth paying attention to how the locations presented in the trailer look like. They are full of detail and that's hardly surprising - as the creators wrote on their blog the teams often return to older maps, reworking them so that they visually match today's standards.

ETS' past, present and future

It's worth checking out how the game looked on the trailer from 2012 for comparison. Euro Truck Simulator 2 has come a long way since then. The developers have introduced numerous, often very extensive maps into the game, reworked and enriched those already available with new content, and improved the lighting system. In addition, they created a lot of small DLCs, which added to the game accessories to be placed in the cab or introducing new orders. This, of course, is not the end of work on the popular truck simulator, because, according to the developers, the new trailer will also be outdated at some point. SCS Software also wrote that it will prepare something special for the players on the occasion of the game's tenth birthday, but so far the developers did not reveal details of this surprise.
