ETS 2 Refreshed More Cities and Introduced Potholes; Patch 1.47 Goes Live

Euro Truck Simulator 2 has received update 1.47, which refreshed Germany and introduced a handful of improvements (as well as simulation of rough roads).

Euro Truck Simulator 2 has received another major update With patch 1.47, SCS Software continues to overhaul outdated areas of the map; this time, as announced, refreshing the areas of southwest Germany.

As part of this "touch-up," the developer has redesigned four cities: Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Erfurt. Each of them was re-built from scratch - from roads and destination points to landmarks (including historic buildings).

You can see some of these changes in a video showing the key new features of Update 1.47, the footage of which we've posted below.

In addition to refreshing German cities, the update also introduces numerous improvements, including Emergency Braking System (EBS for short) and maintaining distance between cars (Adaptive Cruise Control, or ACC). Both options appeared in August 2022's Update 1.44, but only as experimental features.

Version 1.47 also enable the players to gain ownership of two new types of trailers: gas tankers and those for transporting animals. Interestingly, we will put them to the test in, so to speak, extreme conditions, if we are inclined to consider roads with simulated uneven pavement as such. Players will feel all the "imperfections" and sometimes even hear how they affect the operation of, for example, the truck's suspension.

There are also personalized videos showing the cities from the Road to the Black Sea DLC, redesigned career and update interfaces (the latter appeared also in American Truck Simulator) and numerous minor improvements. The full list of changes can be found on SCS Software's official website.
