Blizzard Entertainment has announced Splintered Souls - a new update to Diablo Immortal. This is the second such major update since the debut of the full version of the game on PC in August, following September's Dark Rebirth.

For now, the developers have not shared detailed information about the new content. Nevertheless, the head of Diablo Rod Fergusson and lead designer Scott Burges revealed some information in a short trailer for Splintered Shards. You can watch the teaser below.

In addition to new loot, Diablo Immortal will receive a brand new zone (Southern Dread lands), as well as previously unseen hideouts, companions, and bosses. Of course, there will also be new loot to acquire (including within the Phantom Bazaar), and the update will continue the main storyline. The developers also mentioned new PvE play modes and the return of something "very, very familiar."

We are expected to learn more from announcements that will be posted on social media and the the official website in the weeks leading up to the debut of the new content. Splintered Souls will appear in Diablo Immortal in mid-December.
