The State of Play presentation concluded with a long, over 9-minute material from Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. It was filled with fragments of cutscenes and gameplay, as well as typical brand moves that evoke a variety of often conflicting emotions.

We gained insight into how the mobile operational base DHV Magellan functions, with shots of new, much larger areas than in the first installment (on the border with Mexico), and a presentation of a truly crazy fight. Of course, there was also a peek at new characters and... creatures. Sam will set out on a new journey with his companions to save humanity from extinction. More in the material from Kojima Productions. The game will be released in 2025 for the PlayStation 5 console.

Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker return in their roles in the game. This time, however, they can count on the support of Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Oscar-winning director George Miller. Meanwhile, Hideo Kojima and the development team were joined by his long-time associate Yoji Shinkawa, who is responsible for character design and gameplay mechanics. Ludvig Forssell and Kyle Cooper have once again taken up the positions of music director and designer, respectively.
