Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time PC Will Require Constant Network Connection

The PC version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time requires a constant connection to Battle.net servers despite the lack of online multiplayer. Activision Blizzard claims it is to fight piracy.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has arrived on PC;
  2. To play the game we need a constant connection to Battle.net

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time appeared on PC and instantly made a bad impression on the players. Activision Blizzard decided that the game requires constant connection to the Internet. So all it takes is a brief Internet outage and a title that someone paid a lot of money for becomes useless.

This is not an uncommon practice for Activision Blizzard, as similar anti-piracy measures are used in such games as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, but unlike those titles, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time does not have an online multiplayer mode.

Such a solution is quite drastic and inconvenient, especially since, as reported by the gaming community focues around games using Battle.net, the website hasn't been very stable lately.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is also available on consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch), so if the requirement for a constant connection to servers discourages you and you have the option to play the title on hardware other than PC, there is an alternative.
