Rogue Company, an online shooter that hasn't received a proper update in a year, unexpectedly made its presence felt, while also annoying some players. The entire uproar stems from the removal of game content associated with the streamer known as Dr Disrespect and the form of compensation provided.

Let's start by explaining why First Watch Games studio decided to remove content at all, which consisted of, for instance, the dev's skin and the map designed by him. Dr Disrespect reportedly sent sexually suggestive messages to his underage viewers, leading to his ban from Twitch and the demonetization of his videos on YouTube.

Although just removing the streamer from Rogue Company didn't cause much outrage among the community, the compensation awarded by the devs of the shooter did. Yesterday, a post appeared on the game's profile on X, announcing the return of the so-called rogue bucks (in-game currency) for previously purchased content featuring Dr Disrespect.

As befits a free-to-play game, it offers paid cosmetic add-ons. One of them was a skin of the influencer worth 2000 rogue bucks, equivalent to about 20 dollars. Many fans were hoping to get their real money back, as they loudly expressed in the comments under the game's devs' post.

How about since we paid with real money you provide real money refunds?

Give me back my money. I don't want to buy your other crappy skins.

I want my money back.

The update with Dr Disrespect was already in Rogue Company in 2020, when the shooter was undergoing beta tests (the game's premiere was in 2021). However, this isn't the only brand that has ended its cooperation with the streamer. His own studio, Midnight Society, also decided to cut off contact with him.
