Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is essentially a comprehensive update to Path of Exile, an online action RPG released in 2013, inspired by the Diablo series and operating on a free-to-play model (free with microtransactions). The developer of the sequel is the New Zealand studio Grinding Gear Games, which has been involved in the production and development of PoE from the very beginning. Path of Exile 2 was announced in November 2019 at the ExileCon 2019 convention.

Gameplay

Path of Exile 2 is a completely new chapter in the development of Path of Exile. It offers a separate campaign consisting of seven acts, which takes place twenty years after the events depicted in the first game. Starting the adventure with the sequel, we are asked to create a completely new hero. We choose from the class archetypes known to the fans of the first part. By gaining experience and completing the appropriate quests, we can later decide on nineteen completely new specializations (Ascendancy Classes), not available in the original campaign. During the game we can expect completely redesigned systems of equipment, gems, and skills, which were created based on the suggestions of fans.

Co-op

In addition to the singleplayer mode Path of Exile 2 offers cross-platform co-op mode - over the Internet or locally on a shared screen.

Graphics

In Path of Exile 2 the graphical presentation also underwent a noticeable upgrade. The creators implemented a new lighting system and object physics, as well as introduced significantly better animations and 3D models.
