Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland PC

Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland is an expansion to the turn-based strategy game Panzer Corps 2 released in 2020. The DLC was developed by the authors of the base game, namely the Flashback Games studio, which oversees the development of the series. Its release was handled by Slitherine, a company specialized in war strategy games.

Plot

As the title suggests, the action in Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland begins with the German invasion of Poland in 1939. A country attacked from three sides must try to defend itself at all costs, and the task of the players, who take control of its forces, is to undertake a desperate attempt to defeat the Wehrmacht.

The outcome of the war presented here depends on the decisions we make and the actions of our army on the battlefield - whether Poland will fall under the pressure of enemy forces, or whether it will be able to emerge victorious from this clash, contrary to real history.

Gameplay

Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland offers an extensive campaign consisting of 14 scenarios, including the Battle of Mlawa, as well as the defense of Westerplatte, Warsaw and Lviv. The list of 21 new units fighting on both sides of the conflict includes both modified vehicles known to game fans (such as Panzer IID and TKS with a 20 mm gun), as well as completely new, unique units defending Poland, led by the Uhlans and a prototype aircraft.

The novelties introduced in the add-on do not end there. The developers decided to completely abandon the presence of Allied units controlled by AI, and the presence of helpers is reduced to minefields or static fortifications. Moreover, almost all units have been set as main and are developing during the campaign. The DLC also allows us to completely turn off the turn limit, so each player can play at their own pace.

The last new feature introduced in the expansion is the redesigned check-in system, in which we will not experience any characters. They were transferred to the battlefield, where they may indeed perish, but their loss does not block our path to making progress and achieving victory.

Game modes

Similar to the base version of the game, in Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland we can play alone or in multiplayer mode - via the Internet, on a local network or through the so-called "hot seat".

Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland is a non-standalone add-on, so it requires the base version of Panzer Corps 2.
