North American Hunting Extravaganza is the work of the Slovak development team Arcade Moon, which is one of the branches of 3D People studio. The title is addressed to less demanding lovers of shooting at virtual animals.

Players can try their hand at hunting in four fishing grounds located in different parts of North America. During hunting expeditions in the game you can come across 20 species of wild animals, including deer, wild boar, pumas, wolves and grizzly bears.

The game offers four play modes. Season hunt serves as the main campaign, allowing you to face a series of increasingly difficult hunting challenges. Quick hunt is a single hunt in a selected fishery. Versus allows you to compete with live opponents (up to four participants on a common screen) in arcade shooting rehearsals. Players who want to improve their hunting skills before starting hunting can take advantage of the Practice option.

The game is mainly focused on arcade shooting sequences and has little to do with realistic simulation. Players have to show first of all their reflexes and customs eye. They have at their disposal a large arsenal of hunting weapons, including rifles, sniper rifles and arches, as well as a set of gadgets facilitating hunting for the most generous specimens of virtual fauna.

North American Hunting Extravaganza's visuals do not differ from the standards set by competing hunting games available on the Nintendo Wii console (e.g. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 or Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska). Three-dimensional desktop environment does not sin with exceptional beauty, but animal models look quite similar to their counterparts in nature.
